The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) and the Kansas City Chapter of the American Planning Association (KC-APA) invite you to the next Planners Roundtable on September 11, 2026.
Planners Roundtable is a a quarterly gathering of the Kansas City area’s urban planners and those interested in urban planning topics.Each meeting covers topics of interest to planners, and participants can share planning news and activities that are taking place in their localities.
The September roundtable will be a workshop focused on Planning as Economic Development. This workshop will include focused conversations on local economic development and planning policy, roadblocks and opportunities, and how to better coordinate economic initiatives and planning efforts.
The workshop will kick-off with a panel discussion including:
Libbey Tucker, CEcD — Senior VP-Economic Development, Overland Park Chamber
Ann Holliday — Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Downtown Council & Director, Art in the Loop
This event qualifies for 1.5 CM credits for AICP planners.
