The Kansas City Port Authority is redeveloping a major portion of the Kansas City riverfront. A centerpiece of this redevelopment effort is the construction of a stadium for the Kansas City Current professional soccer team -- the first women-specific stadium built in the United States. The presentation will focus on how planning by PortKC has spurred redevelopment in a long-neglected part of the metro area. The presentation will start at the PortKC offices, followed by a walking tour and a happy hour at Bar K.
