Develop your sketching skills and see the city with fresh eyes on an exploration through the Crossroads and downtown Kansas City. Led by Daniel Green, an Urban Sketchers workshop leader, you will gain insights and tips to capture the qualities of a place from fire hydrants to skyscrapers. Broken down into three segments, the workshop will focus on speed vs. precision, reducing complexity, and capturing light. This intimate on-site workshop will offer peer review and discussion as you document urban elements and understand relationships between the built and natural environment.
2 workshops with a capacity of 20 people each
Sketching utensils and materials will be provided and are yours to take home after the event. Special thanks to Kansas City Art Institute for providing sketchbooks for these workshops.
