Kansas City's first modern streetcar has arrived, and will welcome passengers starting in May. In January of 2014, Willoughby Design was chosen by the Kansas City Streetcar Authority to create the brand identity system for the KC Streetcar. Simultaneously, Willoughby engaged with the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority to develop a new regional brand.
Come hear panelists describe the process of branding not just a streetcar but a regional transportation system. Get the inside scoop on the KC Streetcar names that were considered but discarded (awww we thought "Supersonic Rocket Rail" had a nice ring to it). Learn why the timing of this new/old mode of transportation is spot on for Kansas City's renaissance.
Lunch included in ticket price.
