It's a remarkable time for human mobility in both Kansas City and across the country, as we are at the dawning of significant transformation. New technologies - ranging from driverless cars to connected freight convoys - will create profound benefits and implications for our cities, economies, and infrastructure.
These new technologies hold the promise of safer, greener, and more efficient transportation, yet also raise questions about planning and public policy. To understand and prepare for these coming advancements, the Mid-America Regional Council, the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City, and a number of community partners are launching a series of events to expand community dialog around transportation.
Please join us for our kickoff event on February 17, featuring William Clay (Bill) Ford Jr., Executive Chairman of Ford Motor Company, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with prominent local leaders. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. Reserve your spot today.
