Veterans Community Project
8900 Troost Avenue
Kansas City, MO 64131

The Tiny House movement has recently gained recognition due to the popularity of television shows and social media. While some Americans choose to downsize to enjoy simpler living in a smaller space, tiny homes also have the potential to provide affordable housing options for residents. Explore how Veterans Community Project is building a specialized community of tiny homes and on-site services to provide stability for veterans and how other cities in the Kansas City region are reacting to the Tiny House movement.

Events speakers include:

  • Adam Abramson - Veterans Community Project
  • Stephen Rhoades, PLA - Vireo
  • Diane Binckley, AICP - City of Kansas City, Missouri
  • Kelly Drake Woodward, AICP - City of Gardner, Kansas

For attendees available to stay, an on-site tour of Veterans Village will be given from 1:00 - 1:30 PM. Veterans Village is an active construction site - it is recommended to wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriate for the weather.
